At the beginning of September, we kicked off a series of improvements to our reporting suite, understanding that now more than ever access to key operational data is essential. This included more customisation and filters to get the specific reports you need.

Now, you can make it easier to refer back to your customised reports by saving them for future reference. No need to reset filters every time you want to view info - find it pinned in your navigation bar.

When saving a custom report, you can also schedule it to be automatically emailed to you daily, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly at specific times. You'll receive both a link to the report in Tanda and a CSV attachment, providing convenient access to your most important data, ready in your inbox when you need it.

Try this in scenarios like:

• Reviewing when key qualifications are expiring
• Checking pending timesheet approvals prior to running payroll
• Identifying rostered shifts that still require acceptance or acknowledgement

We've recently introduced a new set of checks to help catch potential issues with employee profiles and timesheets before you process payroll. These checks work like our roster validations and are fully configurable, allowing account admins to tailor validations to the business.

When enabled, shift checks can either warn on the timesheet or block approval for common issues like:

• Missing clock-ins and outs
• Clashing shifts
• Shifts worked outside of recorded employment dates

Payroll checks have also been built to show potential payroll issues beyond individual timesheets, flagging things like:

• Incomplete employee details, such as tax declarations and missing emergency contacts
• Incomplete organisation details, such as missing ATO or Registered Tax Agent information
• Tax declaration issues, such as staff who did not provided a TFN due to being underage, but have since turned 18

With the release of payroll checks, we've created a single location to report on all issues with the Central Payroll Check Report. With this, you can easily review and correct shifts or payroll records to ensure a smoother pay day.

Even better, you can use our new report saving and scheduling functionality to make this information even more accessible.

Our September update to Tanda Communications made it easier to keep work discussions in one place. Now, we've added the ability to send links to specific pages to Tanda via communications to Chat about it.

This feature lets you add more context to conversations either in group chats or one-on-one messages, perfect for things like:

• Communicating changes to an employee about their leave request
• Sharing thoughts with your hiring team on a great Tanda Hire candidate
• Reviewing completion rates for a handover checklist
• Sending a saved custom report to other members of your team

Our staff list page has had a makeover, with even more filters and sorting options to enhance the look, performance, and customisation of this page. Most notably, customers can now select the columns they want the staff list to show, giving far more control over the data they view and filter when browsing the staff list.

Businesses that choose to pay staff while they take a meal break can now use automatic break rules to accommodate this scenario.

Simply set your break rule conditions, and tick whether the break should be paid. This will also avoid the timesheet entry being flagged for a missed meal break penalty.

All paid meal break features are available for both automatic and manual breaks, provided the paid meal break rules are configured.
