What's New: November & December 2024
From shiny features to brand new reports, the end of 2024 has been massive for reporting.
We introduced 10+ new reports, covering things like recent commencements and departures, sent contracts and documents, responses to shift questions, and more. Not only that, but we revamped several existing reports, particularly our shift reports, adding helpful new filters and comparison tools for more powerful reporting logic.
Our cost reports have become even easier to understand, with line, bar, and pie charts available on supported reports.
Some reports have also had missing data filters added to help quickly identify incomplete fields.
Finally, we introduced the ability to pin reports for faster, more convenient navigation. You can use the actions menu to pin your most-used reports for one-click access!

After launching them last month, we’ve continued to refine our Pay and Shift Checks.
Tanda Payroll users can now flag three new issues:
- Teams missing cost tracking codes
- Teams missing tracking categories
- Teams missing earnings expense accounts
We plan to release even more Pay Checks to help streamline pay day, so watch this space!

In the compliance space, we simplified the process of paying on-call and sleepover shifts.
You can now create allowances and custom award rules that automatically apply overtime rates if an employee is on call or rostered for a sleepover shift.
This reduces the manual workload required to pay these shifts accurately while increasing peace of mind.

After months of hard work behind the scenes, we added a new Long Service Leave feature for Tanda Payroll users.
Now, managers can configure, track, and manage long service leave directly in an employee’s profile. Contingent long service leave is calculated for eligible staff after 7 years, and claimable after 10.
Tanda’s Long Service Leave functionality will also automatically calculate entitlements based on the requirements of the state or territory the employee works in. Currently, this release is available only for employees working in Queensland and Western Australia.
We plan to roll it out to other states in the coming months, so stay tuned!

Managers can now track a new hire’s onboarding progress more accurately.
When an onboarding invitation has been sent, you can view the completion status of each individual onboarding step in their employee profile (e.g. Tax Declaration - Complete).
That way, managers can better understand when new staff will be ready to roster.
Tanda HR users can now attach their custom forms to onboarding invitations, allowing you to collect extra information like:
- Uniform sizes
- Preferred hours of work
- Request for additional super contributions

We also launched two exciting integrations with SuperAPI and SEEK.
Our SuperAPI integration makes collecting employees’ superannuation details a breeze, automating processes like stapling checks and registering new employees to your default fund during onboarding.
Similarly, our SEEK integration lets you post and manage job ads seamlessly across Tanda and SEEK. No more doubling up; post a job ad in Tanda, and it will automatically be shared on SEEK, too! As applications come in, they can be managed directly in Tanda.

Ensure you never miss a beat with our scheduled notifications!
You can now schedule reminders for specific events, like an expiring qualification or a contract that’s still unsigned. You’ll still receive real-time notifications when the event occurs as well as these scheduled reminders.
This can be a significant timesaver, and helps prevent things slipping through the cracks.

For Tanda Payroll businesses that use multiple pay groups or multiple company files, you can now perform tasks on several Pay Runs simultaneously with Bulk Payroll Actions.
Currently, bulk actions include:
- Posting pay runs
- Reverting pay runs
- Emailing all unsent payslips
